Kin Seek Witnesses of Party Bus Stabbing | News

(via The Washington Times)

The family of a Clinton man who was fatally stabbed last weekend is making a plea for anyone who witnessed the attack to come forward.

Police found Henri’ Dominic Pratt and a 24-year-old friend suffering from multiple stab wounds on the 7100 block of Hastings Drive in Seat Pleasant close to 2 a.m. Sunday.

Mr. Pratt, who worked as a security guard and had a 3-year-old daughter, died at a hospital. His friend is expected to survive, police said.

Mr. Pratt’s cousin, Tiffany Pratt, said doctors told family members that her cousin had been stabbed 27 times in an incident that began while he was traveling on a party bus.

“You can’t have 60 people on that bus and not have anyone see anything,” said Ms. Pratt, 27.

Prince George’s County police said they had interviewed multiple witnesses, but no arrests had been made as of Thursday.

Ms. Pratt said Mr. Pratt and two friends boarded the bus. The friends told her afterward that theevent they expected to attend was canceled, so they and dozens of other people spent the night traveling around the D.C. area in the party bus, Ms. Pratt said.

At some point in the evening, one of Mr. Pratt’s friends got into a fight with another person on the bus, Ms. Pratt said she was told. Mr. Pratt and the 24-year-old man broke it up.

“Everybody thought everything was cool and calm. They just kind of went on with the night,” Ms. Pratt said.

But when the bus returned to the Seat Pleasant neighborhood where it had picked up the passengers, some people were waiting. They attacked Mr. Pratt and his friend when they exited the bus, Ms. Pratt said.

“It just makes it more tragic because he was not trying to instigate anything,” Ms. Pratt said. “Our cousin is known for being the one who is calm and collected. He just liked to look good and have fun.”

GERMANTOWN, Md. (WUSA) — A man used a stun gun to rob someone at an ATM Monday in Montgomery County, police said.

Police say the victim was in a vehicle making a withdrawal from an ATM at the Bank of America on Germantown Road, in Germantown, at about 11:05 p.m.

The suspect approached the victim and spoke to him.

Then, the suspect attempted to shock the victim with the device, but it didn’t take affect, police said.

The victim drove off, while leaving the cash and the bank card behind at the ATM, police said.

Police say they do not believe this case is related to a stun-gun robbery recently reported in Rockville, based on a different physical description of the suspects.
